Our first teen of the month is the perfect example of how one teenager can have a big impact on their community at home and on the lives of people thousands of miles away.
Throughout high school, Jayzona logged over 500 service hours helping hospital patients, caring for the homeless local shelters and serving underprivileged children through the YMCA. For the past year, she's donated a portion of each paycheck from her job at the local library to two children in her homeland, the Philippines, so that they too can attend school.
Although she recently graduated from high school, her work is not yet over. She's continuing to raise funds for the victims of a terrible landslide in the Philippines and she will begin studying to become a pediatrician in hopes that she can help children around the world, including those in the Philippines and in Africa.
No matter where she goes, we know she'll continue to have great success. Congratulations Jayzona and keep up the great work!
