At a time when finding a great leader is on everyone's mind, 13-year-old Noah has taken steps to be a leader in his community and to encourage teens around the country to do the same. Since the age of 7, Noah has worked hard to improve the lives of kids with Type 1 diabetes. He has two cousins who struggle with the disease and he has raised tens of thousands of dollars for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Along with his efforts to find a cure for diabetes, Noah is also very involved in politics. By the age of 10 he had already written his first book, The Essential Book of Presidential Trivia, designed to help kids get excited about history. Afterward, he traveled around the country to encourage teens to get involved in government and community service. All of the donations and a portion of proceeds he received from the book went toward the search for a cure for Type 1 diabetes.
As an expert on presidential history and a young leader, Noah has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Martha Stewart, Oprah, The Today Show and The Big Idea with Donny Deutsche. His next book, Kids First, will be published by Scholastic in August 2008.
Despite all of his work in the community, which includes regularly writing to his congressman, Noah still finds time to have fun. He enjoys basketball, listening to music, playing video games and spending time with friends and family. He currently is making plans to run for president of the United States in 2032.
