Galvanized by the poverty she encountered in India at the age of 13, Tara Suri founded Turn Your World Around to harness the power of youth and make a global difference.

Through this movement, teens can participate in various programs, including Helping Orphans Pursue Education (H.O.P.E.), which seeks to increase access to education and basic necessities around the world, and Connect-a-Kid, which works to improve access to technology. Another program, Shakti Girls, strives to empower human-trafficking victims in India.

The Turn-Your-World Mentorship Program provides youth with the tools and network they need to start their own projects. Turn Your World Around's website, www.turnyourworldaround.org, is a unique social-change portal that connects youth to the world and helps teens take action.

Turn Your World Around has raised nearly $60,000, and impacted and engaged thousands around the world. As founder and president, Tara has worked hard developing all of the initiatives, speaking throughout the country, and volunteering around the globe. She has even written a novel about human-trafficking that she hopes to publish to increase awareness.

Tara believes her teen peers are capable of creating massive change, and without a doubt she's proven it.

Keep up the great work Tara!
