Gear Up to Give Back Terms & Conditions

Qualifying Schools: The Gear Up to Give Back program applies only to "Qualifying Schools", which are PK-12 schools and which have applied and been accepted to the Gear Up to Give Back program by the current application process. Private schools are also required to submit either an IRS Determination Letter or a 501(c)(3) and 509(a) tax exempt certificate. Schools must submit relevant tax information to participate.

Pottery Barn Kids and Pottery Barn Teen will assign each Qualifying School that has been accepted into the Gear Up to Give Back program with a Membership ID and Password. For a Qualifying School to receive credit for qualifying purchases, a parent must specify the Qualifying School's Membership ID and Password when any qualifying order is placed either online or in a retail store.

Pottery Barn Kids and Pottery Barn Teen will combine Gear sales purchased at both brands annually and donate:

  • 4% back to schools with over $5,000 in Qualifying Net Sales
  • 3% back to schools generating between $2,500 and $4,999 in Qualifying Net Sales
  • 2% back to schools generating between $1,000 and $2,499 in Qualifying Net Sales

Qualifying Net Sales are defined as the merchandise price paid for "Gear" merchandise purchases made online or in stores, plus any additional services such as personalization, minus returns, tax and shipping costs. "Gear" merchandise is defined as backpacks, lunch bags and duffel bags. To find out if a specific product is included, you can view the entire Pottery Barn Teen Gear Up 2 Give Back collection at www.pbteen.com/givebackshop. You can also contact a dedicated Representative at (855) 283-1722 or see a store associate.

Donations will be distributed to Qualifying Schools annually. The donations will be based on purchases made the prior year. The receiving school must be an active Qualifying School at time of payment.

Other Conditions:

  • Only one Qualifying School Membership ID and Password per order.
  • School contributions made through the School Rewards program are not tax deductible by parents.
  • The contribution will be calculated off of all qualifying purchases made with a Qualifying School's Membership ID and Password after that school is enrolled as a Qualifying School, and so long as the Qualifying School remains an active Qualifying School at the time of payment of the full donation.
  • Pottery Barn Kids and Pottery Barn Teen reserve the right to discontinue or alter the terms of this program at any time.
