FRONT DOOR PARCEL DELIVERY

(e.g. UPS, USPS) to your delivery address

Standard

Front Door items ship from our warehouse and arrive within 3-5 business days of receiving your order.

Some items sent directly from our suppliers may take longer, and items ordered together may not arrive in the same box.

Next Day

For an extra charge of $26.00 per address we can arrange for next day delivery to most destinations within the contiguous 48 states.

If we receive your order by 6pm PT Monday through Friday, you'll receive your order the next business day; orders placed Friday after 6pm through Sunday will arrive on Tuesday.

Next Day Delivery service is not available for some oversize items, items on backorder, personalized/monogrammed items, items shipped directly from the manufacturer, or items shipped outside of the 48 contiguous states. Please call 1.888.779.5176 for more information.

DOORSTEP DELIVERY

Doorstep Delivery service is available for select items at a lower flat rate.

With doorstep delivery, you are responsible for bringing the item into your home. For multi-unit buildings, items will be placed in a secure lobby area or with building concierge.

Assembly and packaging disposal is not included in doorstep delivery.

Arranging a Delivery Date

Delivery is by appointment Tuesday – Saturday in most major metropolitan areas, with Monday delivery available in some areas. Service to outlying areas may be restricted based on geographic location.

A representative will call to arrange a delivery date and confirm an appointment timeframe (typically a 4-hour window).

IN-HOME DELIVERY & ASSEMBLY

With In-Home Delivery and Assembly, items are brought into your home, most are unpacked and assembled, and the packaging is removed.

With Unlimited Flat Rate Furniture & Freight Delivery, an unlimited number of eligible furniture items can be delivered for a single flat rate, per shipping address. These items will be delivered by In-Home Delivery service providers. Eligible items will show “Unlimited Flat Rate Delivery” on the product page.

The exact shipping charge is based on your shipping location. Shipping times vary by vendor. See shipping tab for more details. Your order will ship when all items in your order are available for delivery.

In-Home Delivery and Assembly is only available in the contiguous 48 states. At this time, we are unable to ship items to Hawaii with our In-Home Delivery and Assembly, such as large furniture pieces or any items that exceed UPS shipping weight limits. Please call 1.888.779.5176 for more information.

Speed of delivery depends on type of product, product availability, and proximity to metropolitan areas*. Backordered items will ship once back in stock, at no extra charge.

PICK UP NEAR CAMPUS

Shop for your college essentials from home. We'll hold everything at a store near your school until you’re ready to get it.

Good news! Every Pick Up Near Campus order will be automatically enrolled in our exclusive Dorm Concierge program. Within seven business days of the order being placed, a dedicated representative will reach out as your main point of contact. They’ll provide biweekly updates on order status, assist with any cancellations, refunds or replacements, confirm final in-store pickup details and follow up with you after pickup to ensure a smooth experience. 

How Pick Up Near Campus Works

Create a profile where you can find your college, select a store, customize your pick-up date and more. Start shopping and choose what you need for college, from twin XL bedding to storage solutions. At checkout, make sure you have selected the store of your choice for pick up. Your order will be packed and ready for pickup at the store you selected when you arrive—it’s that easy! Closer to your pick-up date, you will receive an email letting you know when the items are shipping and when they will be ready for pickup. For multiple store locations, please place separate orders for each one.

Eligible Items

To find out which items are eligible for Pick Up Near Campus, check the product’s information page on our website. After you choose the color and/or size, you’ll be able to select a store for pickup if it’s available. In addition, eligible items will be listed together in your cart under the same delivery location.

Delivery Timing

Customize your pick-up date during checkout. We’ll hold your item(s) for up to 30 days, beginning from when we send you the email letting you know that your order is ready for pickup.

Arranging Pickup

An email notification will be sent when your order is ready for pickup. Please bring your order number and a valid photo I.D. Once at the store, notify any associate that you are there for your order. Unless you call to instruct otherwise, you are the only person authorized to pick up your order. If you’d like someone else to pick up your order, please call us and provide that person’s name. Make sure the person picking up your item(s) brings the order number and a valid photo I.D.

What is Dorm Concierge?

Our dedicated Dorm Concierge team ensures picking up everything you need for dorm move-in is easy and stress-free—at no extra charge. 

Here’s what to expect: 

  • Within seven business days, a dedicated representative from our team will reach out to you about your Pick Up Near Campus order. They will remain your main point of contact
  • Biweekly email updates to summarize the status of item(s) in your order(s). You may choose to hear from us more or less frequently, depending on your preference
  • Timely notifications and assistance regarding replacements, backorders, refunds and cancellations (excludes made-to-order and personalized items)

OTHER SHIPPING INFORMATION

Shipping Fees

Our shipping and processing fees cover the processing, handling, packing and delivery of your order. Delivery fees do not include gift wrap or surcharges that may apply to some items.

Delivery Surcharges

Items that are bulky, heavy, or of limited availability may have a delivery surcharge in addition to standard delivery and processing charges. This charge is shown on the product page by the item price and is in addition to regular delivery and processing charges.

Gift Cards

Gift cards have slightly different rates and time frames from other products:

  • Free shipping by USPS with standard delivery (5-7 business days).
  • Next-day delivery is available for an additional charge – arrives in 1 business day if placed by 9 am PT Mon-Fri.
  • Orders placed after 9 am PT Friday through Sunday will arrive on Tuesday.

Shipping To Alaska, Hawaii, & The U.S. Territories

Items shipped to Alaska, Hawaii and U.S. territories are delivered by USPS with an additional charge of $10. Some heavy or oversized items cannot be shipped outside the contiguous 48 states.

The standard shipping charge applies to orders shipped to APO/FPO addresses and will arrive within 4 to 6 weeks.

Order Processing

When placing an order online, in-store, or over the phone, please note that your credit or debit card will be charged at the time of purchase for certain items. These items include, but may not be limited to, made-to-order furniture, branded appliances, cookware, artwork, lighting, textiles, bath and kitchen hardware, bed and bath items, cookbooks, specific perishable foods, as well as small furniture items that are shipped via UPS. This policy also extends to items sold by third-party vendors, often referred to as drop shippers, who directly ship to customers.

What happens if the item I ordered is backordered?

In some cases, shipping may be postponed due to a lack of product availability. Items that are on backorder will be shipped when they are received in stock. In the event of any delay, we will notify you by mail or email.

Can I ship to a PO Box?

We can ship most items to a P.O. Box. This excludes oversized items and those shipped directly from our manufacturers. You will receive a message during checkout if the item is not eligible to ship to a PO Box.

Can I ship an order to an APO/FPO address?

Yes, for an additional charge of $10.

When entering an APO or FPO address, please follow this example:

Can I ship to multiple addresses?

When you checkout, you will be given the option on the shipping page to "Ship to multiple addresses."

Can I delay the shipment of my order?

If you wish to place an order but delay its shipment to a later date, please do so through our Customer Service Center. Call 1.866.472.4001, and one of our sales associates will be happy to assist you.

SALES TAX

Sales tax on the merchandise total is charged for items shipped to the following states and US territories: AL*, AR*, AZ*, CA*, CO*, CT*, DC*, FL*, GA*, IA, ID, IL*, IN*, KS*, KY*, LA*, MA, MD*, ME*, MI*, MN*, MO*, MS*, NC*, ND*, NE*, NJ*, NM*, NV*, NY*, OH*, OK, PA*, RI*, SC*, SD*, TN*, TX*, UT, VA*, VT*, WA*, WI*, WV*, WY and Puerto Rico*. States and US territories marked with an asterisk also collect taxes on shipping and processing charges. Except as otherwise noted, all sales are made by Williams-Sonoma DTC, Inc., and the local sales tax of the delivery destination is also charged. All sales shipped to Texas locations are made by Williams-Sonoma DTC Texas, Inc., and the sales tax is based on the location where the order was received. The local sales tax of the delivery destination is also charged. Orders delivered to California locations are F.O.B. destination point which means title passes in California.
