Michelle - Easy Room Updates

My dorm style is simple and cozy. Living in NYC can be chaotic, so I love coming home to a room that feels homey and relaxing. Decorating your own room from scratch is definitely a game changer when I moved into my first dorm room, being able to choose exactly how I wanted my room to look felt exciting! Every few months I like to add in new small pieces to revamp my room to make it feel fresh. Scroll down to see some of the quick and easy ways to make your home-away-from-home feel extra special and cozy.

1. New bedding
I like to purchase new bedding each year to keep things fresh and updated! This year I wanted to keep things light and simple so I opted for this Tassel Duvet. It's effortless style with a touch of texture and flair with
the gold tassels.

2. The easiest update: decorative throw pillows!
I love adding little accents of pink since I've always been a girly girl at heart! This blush Jersey Medallion Pillow goes perfectly with my Tassel Shams for an extra touch of texture and color!

3. Eye catching wall decor
NYC apartments are tiny so you only have so much space to work with. The trick is finding a balance between having all the things you want and all the things you need. I wanted to create a focal wall in my room and this simple one-and-done Ombre Rope Wall Hanging Decor piece was perfect and super easy to hang. It's super bright and boho and it adds a really cool element to my room!
