My name is Hannah, and I'm a rising senior at the University of Rhode Island! I'm studying communication and minoring in both business and writing. The time has absolutely flown by and I'm completely baffled that my last year of college is already quickly approaching.

How would you describe your 'dorm style'?
I love a nice girly and simple space. When decorating my dorm or college apartment, I've always gravitated towards light colors that brighten up the room and make me feel inspired! I also keep a few throw pillows on my bed because it makes it super cozy. This soft pink fur pillow cover is one of my favorites to lay on because it's so comfy! I've also recently gotten into items with pineapples on them, so this pineapple pillow cover from Pottery Barn Dorm is currently a must-have for me. They have so many unique pillow covers that match a variety of dorm styles! I usually keep just a few things on the wall, like this
Pottery Barn Dorm wall flag.
I've always been a huge fan of gold accents, so I gravitate towards items like this desktop mirror and this nice gold bamboo vanity display that I keep on the
top of my vanity.

What do you love most about your dorm?
The thing I love most about my dorm is the coziness. There's nothing better than coming back from a long day of class and just snuggling up on my cozy bed! I always use string lights and small desk lamps like Pottery Barn Dorm's Task Lamp because I absolutely hate the lighting that typically comes in dorms and apartments. I turn them on in the evening and it creates a nice cozy space.
What is your 3 favorite tips for studying
in your dorm?
1. Have good lighting: As I said, I've never been a fan of the lighting that comes in dorms and apartments. I discovered the Pottery Barn Dorm Task Lamp and I'm seriously never going back to my irritating overhead lamps! I tend to get headaches if the lighting isn't just right when I'm studying, so it's super important for my lighting to
be top notch.
2. Keep your space clean: I'm one of those people that can't be productive in a messy space. Whenever I'm sitting down to do some studying or homework, I do a quick tidy (especially around my desk area) so that I can be as productive as possible! I feel like my desk gets messy and overwhelming so quickly, so I love the Pottery Barn Dorm desk accessories because they help me keep the space clean and tidy.
3. Sit at a desk: I'm so guilty of not following this tip and sitting in my bed, but I'm making it a point to try and almost always study and do homework at my desk. I'm trying to keep my bed for relaxing and sleeping rather than school work.

How do you keep your busy schedule organized?
Organizing your life in college can be stressful. I've always found that keeping a calendar on my wall in plain sight is the perfect way to organize my schedule and stay organized. I've been using Pottery Barn Dorm's no-nails wall calendar and it's perfect for writing down my daily schedule! I love keeping it on the wall near my bed so I can look at it right when I wake up in the morning to see what's going on that day.
Where is your favorite place to lounge when you're not studying or doing homework?
My BED! I'm so lucky to have had a full-sized bed junior year and will also have one senior year. My white Pottery Barn Dorm comforter is an absolute essential and makes my bed extra cozy. I definitely need time to relax, and I love just snuggling up on my bed with a good book or a good Netflix show!

What has been your favoirte thing about
living on campus?
My favorite thing about living on campus is by far the convenience! A lot of people at URI choose to move off campus to Narragansett, but depending on your location, it can be almost 25 minutes from campus! I would rather get my extra sleep in my cozy on campus apartment and not have to arrive two hours before my class to get a parking spot.
Do you have any summer plans?
This summer I'm lucky enough to be interning at my dream job a PR agency in Newburyport, MA! I've already started working and I couldn't be happier. I've truly discovered exactly the career path I want to take! Of course, I'm also looking forward to lots of beach days and relaxation. I'm excited to document this summer's festivities on this photo holder!
