"I think art is inspiring because it gives the artist the chance to be a story teller and to use their own voice. I paint people from my life, places that I've been and scenes from my dreams. I've been painting since I was four years old but I went to school for costume design. A lot of my work features strong women, fashion, travel and all the things I find interesting. An Artist's work is the illustrated guide to their life and a view inside their mind. Every Artist, no matter the medium or theme, is a story teller and sometimes it's up to the viewer to figure out the story."

"Art inspires me to express myself and be creative, even when I recreate something that already exists. A lot of my art is inspired by other images I see, especially photos of athletes. The raw and pure emotion is really powerful, and I love being able to put those emotions to paper. For this piece, I chose to draw Maria Sharapova as a half-image, half-portrait. She is an incredible athlete, and I loved how strong and confident she looked. One picture says a thousand words, and that's what I love about art — it's able to tell a story."
